Wayzata #205 Raises Two Brothers to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason
Wayzata Lodge put on their second Master Mason Degree of the year. As is the case of all Master Mason Degrees, they can only happen if people are willing to step forward and participate.
This was especially true this time as both the Sr. and Jr. Deacon had events occur at the last moment that put them outside
“the length of their cable tow”.
I had the honor of having my brother WB Grant Lillevold participate in the last degree I will put on as the Master of Wayzata. It was also wonderful to see the participation of our Spring class in the degree.
It is always special to see a brother raised by someone who is a relative or of a special significance to the candidate. At this degree, Rob Miller was raised by his uncle Steve Kane who informed us that he in like manner was raised by Rob’s Grand father.
Also, the importance of Mentorship shined through as well. MWB Neil Neddermeyer took Settar Altiok under his wing and it was wonderful to see the bond that grew between them through the process of the three degrees.
Afterwards, we went to the Wayzata Country Club for a wonderful meal and wine to celebrate and discuss the degree with our new Master Masons.
